  1. Hi,

Strange thing – I have 6.0.7 version in Windows 8.1. Then I downloaded 6.5 and after the installation I have two programs in the system. I thought the latest one will replace the old version.

    1. Err, no, only bug-fix releases replace previous installations. What we have introduced with SmartGit 6.5 is the technical base for installing a new version on top of it.

  2. SmartGit 6.5 can’t be used as free version like previous releases for students? I have it installed on my Ubuntu Linux box but every time I open SmartGit 6.5 it asks me to provide a license file leaving me with no more options than exit.

    1. Sorry, there was a bug in preview builds that started silently an evaluation when having used the non-commercial edition in a previous version. Please delete the SmartGit 6.5 settings directory and restart it.
