This release mostly fixes a couple of bugs. We recommend to update.
We are proud to announce the official release of SmartGit 6.5. The most important new features are more powerful external tools, Log with file- and content-based filtering, improved memory consumption and improved auto-update. Check out What’s New for a more detailed list of improvements in version 6.5.
SmartGit is a graphical front-end for the distributed version control systems Git and Mercurial which also can be used to work with Subversion repositories. SmartGit runs on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
SmartGit can be used free of charge for non-commercial purposes (e.g. OpenSource developers or students). For commercial use or if support is needed, you can purchase a commercial license. The commercial license includes 1 year of free updates and either 90 days or 1 year of e-mail support.
If you are living in Russia and are affected by incorrectly displayed times in, e.g., SmartGit, here comes the solution.
The reason for the incorrect time-zone display is that the Java version shipped with SmartGit does not know about such new time-zone changes (see the chart for time-zone changes and Java versions).
To work-around, please edit
smartgit.vmoptions, add following line (and tweak if necessary)
and restart SmartGit.
